Presentation skills — sometimes even the thought of standing up in front of people can bring a wave of dread and fear. You’re not alone; for many, presenting is one of the most nerve-wracking parts of their role.
At 123 People Development, we completely understand that.
And that’s why we don’t just tell you how to present, we share how we do it. Real, practical strategies that help you manage nerves, connect with your audience, and speak with confidence.
Because great presentations aren’t about perfection. They’re about presence, impact, and making your message matter.
With the right tools, anyone can transform nerves into energy and hesitation into clarity. It’s not about becoming someone else; it’s about discovering the best version of your own authentic voice.
Presentation Skills Training
At 123 People Development, we believe presentations should do more than transfer information; they should connect, influence, and inspire. Whether you’re speaking to a small team or a packed conference hall, your ability to engage an audience can make the difference between being heard and being remembered.
This two-day, highly practical programme is designed to build confidence, sharpen delivery, and equip you with the tools to create powerful presentations that land with impact.
What to Expect
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be immersed in an interactive learning environment. We combine practical exercises, peer feedback, and expert input to help you grow in real time. You won’t just learn about presentation skills, you’ll practice, reflect, and improve with each step.
Across two days, we’ll cover:
Confidence in delivery – through practice, playback, and constructive feedback, you’ll see yourself as your audience sees you.
The 3 V’s – mastering the Visual, Vocal, and Verbal elements of communication, including the power of body language and tone.
Audience engagement – handling questions with confidence and asking the right ones to draw people in.
Presentation structure – using tried-and-tested frameworks (like the “News at Ten” method) to make your message clear and memorable.
Managing nerves – practical strategies, mindset shifts, and inspiration from leading research (including Amy Cuddy’s work on presence).
Designing impact – how to create slide decks that support your message rather than distract from it.
Your Development Journey
Day 1 focuses on self-awareness: exploring your current style, understanding the impact of behaviour and body language, and experimenting with what makes presentations powerful.
Day 2 builds on this with tools and strategies: overcoming nerves, structuring content, and practising again with new techniques, so you leave not just with knowledge, but with proven improvement.
Outcomes
By the end of the programme, you will:
Deliver presentations with greater confidence and presence
Recognise how to use body language, voice, and words to full effect
Engage audiences and handle questions with authority
Create impactful slides that enhance your message
Leave with a clear action plan to continue developing your skills
